Town of Edisto Beach Telemetry



The Town of Edisto Beach has a new telemetry system manufactured by US Filter Control Systems and supplied by Interstate Utility Sales Inc.

This system is based on the D620i controller as both the remote telemtry units and the central telemetry unit.  The system controls four wells and one well field and booster pump station.

The central telemetry unit is located at the tank and includes the modem to handle up to eight telephone lines, a chart recorder for the tank level, a digital readout for pertinent control data, a keypad for operator control of setpoints, and a dialer for alarm notification.



Each well location and the booster pump station have a Hand-Off-Automatic switch module to provide remote location control from the master or central telemetry unit.  The D620i has a two-line, 16 character per line LCD screen suitable for providing operators with information that is not cryptic and is easy to understand.
